Criminal disfigured while stealing copper cabling

The Sun

Wednesday, June 8 2011

A criminal has suffered horrific burns while stealing copper cabling from a electricity sub-station. The man broke into the sub-station was hit by 22,000 volt . This guy, James Sorby, is this badly disfigured that even his daughter didn’t recognise him. Copper theft have soared in the UK since the value of copper has increased. James admitted that he tried to steal the copper, but warns everybody not to do it. He says: "People think it's easy but they don't realise how stupid they are being. I've been through five months of agony.” James is given 12 months of community service, but also had to get five operations to reconstruct his face.

I have no sympathy for this man. There are many more people without money and they don’t steal for a living. This man shouldn’t break in to steal things. I feel sorry for his little daughter. She had nothing to do with it, but doesn’t recognise her dad anymore. I hope the guy has learned a lesson from all this: Don’t touch somebody else’s stuff.

Nursery beast

The sun

Tuesday, June 7 2011

During a raid in the apartment of Paul Wilson, the police found images of a child being abused. The 20-year old monster has admitted today that he raped a two-year old girl. The man works as a nurse and could do this in his care. Paul also groomed more than 20 girls online, while he used more than 23 different false identities to befriend them on chat logs and social network sites. He threatened them, so the girls would take off their clothes in front of the webcam. In court, Paul denied three of the charges, but admitted offences relating 22 girls. Paul Wilson is pleaded guilty.

This is crazy. I have no other words for this. This guy is absolutely sick and should go to jail for a lifetime. It’s also a hot item in Holland, this happens everywhere. I can’t believe people can have a sick mind like this. The most shocking to me was the story of the two-year old baby. How can that be possible, during his working hours? If I was the parent of this little toddler, I’d go crazy.

Andrea Holmes, who had won £2.5 million from the lottery nine years ago, says she still doesn’t own everything she’d like. She treated her mum and dad with a luxury cruise, gave huge amounts of money to her brother and sister, gave up her job as a hairdresser and started up her own beauty spa. But still she’s not fully satisfied. The only thing she misses is love. She is longing for a family of her own, but she thinks men are actually scared off by her bank account. Andrea states: "I'd like to settle down and I believe it will happen some time but it hasn't so far. The money can be an issue for some."

I think we all know that money doesn’t make you happy. And this is the proof for that. She had done everything she wanted and made everyone she loves happy, but she’s still lonely. I can understand that men are scared off by her bank account. Some men think that the man should be the main wage-earner. But isn’t that a little old-fashioned? I thought men were attracted to ‘independent women’? Well, here she is!

Life after near-death

Article

This article tells us the story of James Moore. He had a terrible cycling accident which nearly cost him his life. We all know London is a very dangerous city to cycle in and everyone can tell you a horror story of someone who got hurt or worse. But because of the help of total strangers, James survived and is happy to talk about it. He had a lot of injuries and the doctors even thought that he would not survive. He’s now paralyzed which means he is not able to walk. But this all doesn’t keep him back from doing what he wants to do. He even has his own blog about his recovery in ‘The Independent’ newspaper, coming out soon.

I can really understand how dangerous it is to be a part of the traffic in London. It’s a busy and crowded city. This story won’t be the only one. But because of the help of strangers, this story becomes heroic. Not many people these days are so helpful to others. At least not at risk of their own lives. I’m happy to see James smile on the pictures. He will definitely appreciate life more than before. He is definitely glad to be alive.

Baldness treatment for Wayne Rooney

The Sun, Sunday June 5 2011

Last Thursday, Wayne Rooney has secretly visited a clinic to get a secret treatment to beat his premature baldness. The 25 years old star of the Manchester United team was seen when he left one of London’s most famous clinic ’Queen Anne Street Medical Centre’, where sessions cost thousands of pounds. A source even claimed that ‘Rooney has booked in for a two-day treatment, which will make him look five years younger. This treatment involves taking thousands of hair follicles from where they are plenty full, and ‘planting’ them into a bald area’. Rooney have just confirmed that he was delighted with the result.

Because of Rooney's popularity, this is of course world news. It’s not much alike for a 25-year old to go to a clinic because he’s getting bald. Especially when that guy is one of the best scoring players of England’s national football team. But on the other hand, he’s just a person like you and me. Why won’t the media give him just a little more space to cope with his treatment? If I’d done such a treatment, it would be annoying that people are constantly looking after me, trying to reveal every secret. But I guess it’s just their work..

Most likely source of the E coli bacteria; beansprouts

The Guadian, Sunday June 5 2011

According to German health officials, people should stop eating beansprouts. These vegetables, which are exported to a lot of countries, have been identified as the likely source of the E coli outbreak. This bacteria has already claimed 22 lives and has infected 1,700 people across Europe. This bacteria makes the victims develop a syndrome which attacks the kidney. Gert Hahne, a spokesman for the agriculture ministry in Lower Saxony wants to warn everyone for these sprouts. Since three weeks ago, German hospitals have been struggling to cope with all these victims. They have even discharged patients with less serious illnesses to handle the flood of E coli victims.

This has been an item for the last three weeks now where a lot of people have been talking about. Germany lies next to Holland, which makes it even more exciting for the Dutch. This E coli bacteria pops up out of nowhere and we still don’t know for sure where it’s coming from. The dangerous part of this all is that the symptoms don’t seem to be very striking. And once the doctors know that they’re dealing with this E coli bacteria, it might be too late.. Hopefully they’ll find the source quickly, so that no more people are going to get caught in this ‘web of ignorance’.

Sexy pop videos are te be banned from TV before 9 pm

The Sun, Saturday June 4 2011

Article

This article tells us that sexy raunchy videos could be banned from TV before 9 pm. These proposals are in a report ordered by Prime Minister David Cameron. Sexual scenes could even earn 15 or 18 ratings, just like in cinemas. It is said that modern videos contain more sex and nudity than a few years ago. It is also expected that nude adverts are going to be banned from sites near schools. The family and Paring institute states that children are experiencing too much too young.

I also think that children are exposed to sex and nudity at a very young age. But with today's changes, it's very hard to keep the kids away from all these influences. It's everywhere. I'm afraid that if you ban all these sorts of adverts and videos, it's way more appealing for children to look for it elswhere. I think we should teach children how to deal with these influences, because we cannot change it.
